Ghana vrs Canada Columbus Crew give Afful green light for Black Stars friendlies




Harrison Afful is all set to welcome his international teammates to the United States for two friendlies against Peru and Canada next week.

The Black Stars take on the two sides in Washington next week Friday, October 9 and and four days later October 13 respectively.
And Afful who now plays in the US' Major League Soccer for Columbus Crew is already fired up for the two games so much his club have already been talking up the games by the Black Stars.
"Afful is slated to join Ghana ahead of two international friendlies, with both taking place in Washington, D.C. The Black Stars face-off against Peru (October 9) and Canada (October 13)," Crew's official website reported.
"The Crew SC defender has earned 55 caps for Ghana all-time, including two while a member of the Black & Gold: in a friendly against Congo (September 1) and a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualification match against Rwanda (September 5)," it added.
Ahead of joining the national team squad, Afful and his side meanwhile travel to Harrison, New Jersey this weekend to meet the New York Red Bulls in an MLS clash between the two Eastern Conference sides currently separated by just one point in the standings.
New York top the Eastern Conference on 48 points from 29 games whilst second placed New England Revolution and third spot Columbus Crew both have 47 from 31 games each. Only the top two are guaranteed a place in the post season final play-offs.
