Award wining Ghanaian musicians, Becca and Sarkodie are part of the other top African artistes who have been selected to record a song as part of efforts to raise awareness about the 17 sustainable goals by the United Nations.
Speaking on JoyFM, Becca revealed that“ we got an email basically saying that they want to get in touch with us to do this project and I few other people here as well recommend and so we just got a call and I looked it and I say what, this is what I want to do. It stands for my brand, it stands for me I want to make an impact and be part of history. We got in touch with them, flew to South Africa and history has just been made".
Becca added 193 World leaders coming together to sign the project.
“The goals have been broken down into 17 which means it is very minute and we can pick one and tackle and make it work. We are looking at three extraordinary ones that we looking at for 15 years which includes extreme poverty, climate change, gender inequality and injustice”.
The "Steady" singer, talking about her upcoming album said she has regular studio sections, a few shows in New York, Ohio and Miami after the launch of the "All Everybody" on September 25 in New York.
Award-winning producers Cobhams Asuquo (Nigeria), David KING David Muthami (Kenya) and Ellputo (Mozambique) collaborated on the track which was recorded by Becca,Sarkodie, Mafikizolo, Wizkid,Yemi Alade, Toofan (Togo), Sauti Sol(Kenya) and Diamond in Johannesburg’s Jazzworx studio.
