History : World Shortest Man Dies At 75

The shortest man on record died on Thursday evening at a hospital in American Samoa, hospital officials said.
The shortest man ever is Chandra Bahadur Dangi (Nepal) who measured 54.6 cm (21.5 in) tall as verified at CIWEC Clinic Travel Medicine Center in Lainchaur, Kathmandu, Nepal on 26 February 2012.
In February 2012, Guinness World Records travelled to the Nepalese capital of Kathmandu to investigate the case of a 72-year-old man supposedly standing 5 cm (2 in) shorter than the current shortest living man, Junrey Balawing (Philippines) at 59.9 cm (1 ft 11.5 in, or 23.5 in).
Following a series of measurements at the CIWEC Travel Clinic Medicine Center in the Lainchaur district, Chandra Bahadur Dangi from Reemkholi, Nepal, did indeed prove to be shorter, averaging 54.6 cm (1 ft 9.5 in, or 21.5 in). This also makes him the shortest man ever measured.
He was 75 years old.
