LPG shortage set to worsen in coming days

Some Ghanaians are experiencing the discomfort  of having to comb filling stations in Accra and other parts of the country in search of Liquefied Petroleum Gas- LPG.

This is owed to a massive shortage of the commodity in most parts of the country.
News reaching Pulse Business suggest that the shortage could last for a week due to prevailing challenges in the supply of LPG in the country.
The Tema Oil Refinery has a challenge with the facility that produces LPG for onward supply to other parts of the country.

Again, major off-takers of the LPG have been complaining about difficulties in accessing loans to pay to finance importation of the product.

The National Petroleum Authority assured members of the general public that the situation will be normalized today. But it appears that will not be the case.
There are also challenges with the Ghana Gas Company  also face some major challenges producing gas for domestic and commercial purposes.

Bulk Oil Storage Companies  and the  Tema Oil Refinery also say the situation will take a little longer than the National Petroleum Authority anticipates.
