From a bit of light spanking to some seriously alarming "blood play", is this what women really fantasies about?
If you thought Fifty Shades was outrageous, think again. A recent study of 1580 women reveals the kinkiest things they want in the sack.
Published earlier this year in the scientific journal Archives of Sexual Behaviour, The Kinky Women Research Study came up with some jaw-dropping stats.
While it might not surprise you that 85% of participants enjoy a good spanking and 75% like to be bite their lovers, other findings will leave you speechless.
For example, a whopping 38% of women in the kink community like "knife play” and 36% enjoy "blood play".
Blood play involves cutting your sexual partner or having them cut you and smearing the blood on your body and sometimes drinking the blood of your partner and vice-versa.
While knife play is a form of consensual BDSM edgeplay involving knives, daggers, and swords as a source of physical and mental stimulation.
Knives are typically used to cut away clothing, scratch the skin, remove wax after wax play, or simply provide sensual stimulation.
Although no one gets injured during these acticitives it seems like something you should definitely approach with caution.
The survey, conducted by Jennifer Eve Rehor – a relationship therapist in San Diego – also found that 76% of ladies are into "light bondage".
And perhaps more shockingly, 35% are into “forced cross-dressing”.
Other highly erotic activities include being shaved and being given a manicure or pedicure. Each to their own I guess.
