Presidential staff bus involved in accident: 15 injured


A staff bus conveying workers from the Flagstaff House was involved in an accident on the Ako Adjei Interchange in Accra.

Information available to Joy News indicates that about 15 staff at the presidency who were in the bus sustained minor injuries.


An eyewitness, Edward Harry Armah  told Joy News a Cargo Truck from the Canadian Embassy portion of the road ran into the bus while the driver was attempting to manoeuvre a turn onto the Osu stretch of the interchange.

The driver of the bus lost control but managed to prevent the bus from toppling over.


The truck driver sustained minor injuries on the cheek but driver of the police bus escaped unhurt, Commander of the Cantonment Motor Transport and Traffic Directorate (MTTD), ASP John Airriah told Joy News.

He said both drivers have secured a police report to seek medical attention at the Police Hospital.
