Manchester United Set to Make £100m Bid for Paul Pogba in the Next 24 Hours

Manchester United are reportedly ready to table an official bid of £100m for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba in the next 24 hours, according to Sky Sports.

The Red Devils will look to have the deal completed and confirmed by the end of this week, with Manchester United officials set to meet with Juventus directors Giuseppe Marotta and Fabio Paratici, as well as the French international's agent Mino Raiola, on Wednesday to finalise any unsolved matters.

The expected bid from the Manchester club will be £100m, with £13m of that being add-ons based on the player's performances at the club and whether he reaches the expectations expected from him should he make the switch to the Premier League. The Frenchman would also be offered a contact worth a staggering £250k-a-week.

However, Juventus are likely to reject this initial bid, with the Serie A champions reportedly wanting £100m without performance based add-ons to even contemplate a move, while the club are still hoping they can convince the 23-year-old to stay in Italy, who is formally contracted until 2019.

Through this meet up with representatives from both sides, Juventus will be looking to increase the deal to £100m based on the transfer alone, while Pogba's agent Raiola will also be contacted in order to decide on any personal terms that need mentioning.

The only other club who have been linked with Pogba are Spanish giants Real Madrid, however coach Zinedine Zidane insisted that he is happy with the squad he has, despite admitting to admiring his fellow countryman:

"I am happy with the squad I have got and it’s difficult to improve on it. Do I like Pogba? Of course, he’s a very good player and every club wants the best players but right now he’s at Juve and we have a large squad already.”

“There are still lots of players yet to join up with the squad and with the Euros going on we couldn’t do anything. We have three games coming up and that’s the focus at the moment."
