The Court hearing suits in relation to judges alleged to have engaged in some corrupt practices has dismissed a preliminary objection by lawyers for the fourteen magistrates challenging the procedure used by Attorney General to struck out their case against the probing committee.
The AG on Monday filed an application asking the court to strike out the entire case brought by the fourteen lawyers describing it as frivolous and unsubstantiated.
According to the judge, Justice Sophia Torkonoo, her decision was based on the fact that the procedure used by the AG was right by law.
The case has been adjourned to September 29.
